They are cooking up something to oust the PNC-led government and sounds a tip to the formation of the next government after 24th July when the issue of writs are returned to the Governor General.
In photograph (from left clockwise): Arthur Somare (National Alliance strongman), Hon. Kerenga Kua (Leader of PNG National party), Sir Mekere Morauta (Leader of Independent candidates), Sir Ila Geno, THE party president Waru Sam Debege, Hon. Ben Micah (Leader of PPP), Sir Michael Thomas Somare (Founder of PANGU and NA) and Hon. Patrick Pruaitch (NA party leader).
The notable absences were Hon. Sam Basil (Pangu party leader), Hon. Belden Namah (PNG party leader), Hon. Bire Kimisopa (New Generation party leader), Hon. Allan Marat (MLP leader), Hon. Don Polye (THE Party Leader) and Hon. Gary Juffa ( leader of PMFC).
This is obviously some joke with Pruaitch in the group.
ReplyDeletecould be a joke but it all matters with numbers.....no matter what you need numbers.
ReplyDeleteIf only mereke had the heart of the motukoitabuans...he would have go NCD sit to make way for a Motu Koitabu to contest the Pom NW....only then him would have the Motu Koitabuans rally after him....just a thought....
ReplyDeleteWhile I symphatise with your crys, there is no really easy way to get this seat just like other seats but to contest with other candidates. However, you papuans should take the lead by perhaps try put in 1 candidate only and you all make a block vote. Am sure voters from other origins will support. As it is now, it's like you are crying for a papuan to get this seat but your actions speak otherwise. Just from observation.
ReplyDeleteA new Government is what we need under the strategic guidance of an experienced and highly intelligent man who knows all the rigmarole of politics
ReplyDeletePruaitch and Arthur have no credibility. They are after power. They had the opportunity to join Sir Michael to cross the floor to make numbers during the VoNC but did not. Fakes are now trying to influence the opposition so that they can save their asses.
ReplyDeleteIn politics, party numbers are vital in forming Government. The party with the most numbers will definitely form the next government. PNC have the numbers to form the next government; independent candidates without party affiliations will definitely politically out muscled to join their party or face back benching for their remainder of their term in parliament relying only on DSIP and PSIP funds. An example of this is Hon Gary Juffa who knew that it was ethically and morally wrong to form the Government of 2012. The result of it is that development in Oro Province was at a snail's pace. It took him 5 years to realize that in spite of his moral and ethical beliefs he had the interest of the people of Oro to consider. That is why the group of men in that picture are trying to build the numbers to form the next Government and despite their past dealings under strong and just leadership they too will adjust their moral compass to point True North. That person with the strategic leadership is non other than Sir Mekere Morauta and they know it. If you didn't know then consider yourself informed. Make the right choice help them form the next government and oust this dictatorship regime that has destroyed the Christian values that we as PNGians uphold. Sir Mek for Prime Minister... Its our only hope...
ReplyDeleteMekere will never be PM as an Independent. He needs to come out now and inform the people of NW who he really is supporting or affiliated to. By keeping us in the dark means he is not entirely honest and therefore we should be wary of that come polling day. People of NW must not be used as a launched pad for a person's own agenda. Look through the smokescreen people and see them for who they really are....kaikai blo tingting tasol, olsem yupla yet!
ReplyDeletePlease rausim Patrick Pruaitch and Ben Micah from this group. They were in the government at the time the writs were issued.
ReplyDeleteThey are part and parcel of what's wrong with everything. No to NA too!
Mekere, if you want to dance with these yoyos then I will withdraw my vote from you!!!
Ben Micah admitted to NO ACQUITTAL OF HIS DSIP FUNDS FOR KAVIENG OPEN ELECTORATE!. Why is he lobbying for the PM post!??. He can not look after his own small mandate and he thinks he can lead a nation!??. This guy is unreal!!.
ReplyDeleteThis is just a simple publicity stunt by these people to fool the voters of this nation that they are a solid unit heading into polling. If this were a real coming together of minds, it would have taken place in a more formal setting (and most probably behind closed doors) after which a joint statement would be issued. Don't buy into this. Even some amongst them in the picture openly stated that they'll be open to 'marriage proposals' from any party after the return of writs.
ReplyDeleteClever publicity stunt though.
After what happened between the two, how could sir Mekere be sitting at the same table as Patrick Pruaitch?? This is not for the PNG people's interest. Its for their self interest.
