  1. That's incredible and a true practice of democracy that we the people need to witness what is actually happening to our country from the highest representative office. This practice will bring PNG to the next level of politics in promoting good governance and ethical conduct. Public scrutiny is good is the way forward. More of this would transform PNG, thanks to the media unit, a job well done

  3. If it's true then may I request the Media Council of PNG to stream it online so that as many citizens as possible can watch the debate live. It's going to be the first of its kind and I am looking forward to watch them live

Don Polye must ask Peter O'Neill about PNC's anti-corruption policies. We have been hearing O'Neil promising free goodies and infrastructure developments. What are his policies to address the endemic corruption and mismanagement happening in this country?

Ask Peter O'Neill to outline the plans he has to rescue failing economy and how he will minimize mountain of debts he created.

  8. OL DP be smart to make sure the questions are not exposed to PM PO before the debate. It happened with US presidential debate what stops this happening in PNG. My gut feeling tells me it will happen. The name Alexander Rheeney is synonymous with PNC. Beware!!!

    1. True. Maybe the two should be allowed to ask each other questions and just have a chairman to control proceedings.

Why should it be a two way debate? Leaders of all major political parties should be invited to the debate to present their party platforms and policies. PNG is not a two party State but a multi party State which is why we always have multi party coalitions so we should always have a debate where all major party leaders are invited.

I don't believe he will stick to his word to attend a public debate because he is a common kon man and a liar by international and national standards. Question is, why did he not accept a public debate request earlier by the former PM, Sir Mekere? Guess he knew too well Sir Mekere will skin him alive, especially on economical conditions of the country. So mark my word, it will not happen.

  16. Can't wait. I really hope this all works out. Maybe a blessing in disguise to lessen corruption, put out the truth and save our beloved country. If PM has nothing to hide he should accept!
