Late Paul Pora legacies live on

Late Pora was raised and grew up in Mt Hagen Central in the Villages of Dobel, Tega and Tiling in the colonel Era. He grew up as an ordinary village boy with other childern and was very fluent in the Melpa dialect or language.

He walked from Mt Hagen to Goroka in the early 50's to get educated and made to UPNG and was one of the pioneers. After gratuating from upng he had his first job with Mt Hagen Council as an Execuitive Officer.

Late Pora with the help of the village councillors started the business arm now called WAMP NGA GROUP OF COMPANIES by collecting village taxes. That was late Poras BRAIN CHILD now a conglumerate company.

He then left Hagen council and turned to Farming in his native village. As a kid i would recall seeing him driving his green land rover up and down the plots of his new farm land at Dobel waving and smiling at his farm workers.

Thats where he started his Businesss called Dobel Farming. Simply by growing vegetables and on to coffee farming. From there he ventured in to fuel retailing called Caltex, wholesale , retailing and trucking business called Hagen Hauliers.

Late Pora became a sucessful business man through shere hard work and commanded respect by all western Highlanders. He was loved and respected by village leaders, youths and all ordinaries.

He entered politics and became the most respected politician in the National Parliament.
Not only that but he became the BEST FINANCE MINISTER ......to date.

Late Pora was a man of wisdom, integrity and commanded much respect as a Businessman and has a Politician. He believed in honesty and hard work. He loved his people and his country more than wealth and riches.

HE DIED A KING WITHOUT HONOUR.
His legacies will live on.
