''Mywantok.com'' & ''PNGhometask.com'' to be launched in Port Moresby

by Kevin Nyango

THE series of events Startup&Angels is coming back in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, for a second edition on Thursday 2 August 2018 from 5pm to 8pm, at the Lamana Hotel on Waigani Drive.

This will see the launch of two new online marketplaces for PNG and the Pacific; there are MyWantok.com and PNGHometask.com

This second edition in Papua New Guinea is free, and attendees must register online on the eventbrite event page:

Watch out, it will sold out quickly like the first one last October 2017, with only 80 seats available.

Startup&Angels allow people to hear insights, stories and journeys from local and international tech and startup entrepreneurs, founders and experts.

For this second edition, several speakers will share their journeys with the audience, including Axel Peyriere from Emerging Classifieds Ventures, Andrew Runawery from MyWantok and PNGhometask, Kaung Sitt from GSMA, and others to be announced.

The attendees will also be able to discuss before and after the talks with other attendees and the speakers, and ask them questions. The startup and entrepreneurship scene in Papua New Guinea is growing, with more and more project created monthly, with the recent launch of the ICT Cluster co-working space in Port Moresby, and with more international support trying to help local entrepreneurship and technology initiatives.

All of this just before the APEC Conference that will be hosted in Port Moresby later this year, and that is giving PNG a great focus worldwide.

TechInPacific is proud to support the Startup&Angels event in Port Moresby.
