POLYE'S TAKE ON WIDELY-SPECULATED MINISTERIAL RESHUFFLE

By Don Pomb Polye

My successor Alfred Manase appointed as the Attorney General or not doesn't bother me. I have TOTAL faith in the JUDICIARY of PNG.

I AM aware of only one or two judges' appointments have been politically motivated hoping to achieve political expediency. However the whole JUDICIARY IS politics proof!!! The judiciary will not compromise.

Every other system has wavered and bent. The judiciary has not wavered although tried. The incompetency and poor leadership in all sectors has become so conspicuous that the Judiciary itself is and has been severely affected.

The cashflow of the judiciary is inconsistent and inadequate. Corruption has decayed almost every system of governance so that the judiciary is appalled at the level of rotten decay.

The judiciary can not and will not allow this decadent situation to perpetuate. The Judiciary is very powerful, more powerful than the executive government or any state department or body. It is equivalent to the National Parliament. As the adjudicator of legislatures, it will ensure that the executive government is towed into line to comply with the rule of law.

The judges , their staff, the employees of the judiciary and the officers of the court have smelt the rat and they all want the rat thrown into the garbage bin and burnt or buried to eradicate the bad smell. The judiciary has seen it, observed it, experienced it, felt it, suffered by it, concerned and moved by it.

Their children's future and that of the children of PNG are at stake by the continual reckless, careless, shameless and irresponsible perpetration of corruption and lawlessness. Their mind is one of care. The judiciary is of the view to restore rule of law.

The judiciary of PNG is JUST AND FAIR. I URGE ALL CITIZENS TO TRUST AND BELIEVE IN THE JUDICIARY. PNG IS DOWN IN COMPETENT LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT BUT PNG IS NOT OUT. THE JUDICIARY IS PNG'S LAST FALL BACK PLAN. IT WILL NOT WAVER ON JUSTICE BY THE STRENGTH AND MIGHT OF OUR STEADFAST FAITH IN UPRIGHTNESS AND JUSTICE!!!

For those who who give me their solidarity I say thank YOU. But i urge you to adopt the sentiments i have expressed here and make it yours.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. BELIEVE IN THE CREATOR GOD! BELIEVE IN FELLOW CITIZENS IN LOVE. BELIEVE AND CLAIM THIS COUNTRY THAT CORRUPTION AND EVIL WILL BE DESTROYED AND ERADICATED THE VERY INSTANT YOU PLACE YOUR BELIEF. BELIEVE IN THE JUDICIARY TO DO ITS JOB DILIGENTLY ON JUSTICE.

With regards to the political speculations like Ministerial reshuffle, let me say that whatever reshuffle it may be, it makes no difference!! Any political manouevreability by the executive government does not improve cashflow of PNG.

Any swapping of Ministers will not give this country macroeconomic stability that we desperately need at present. Any new appointment will not return the K400million, or the K30.3million embezzlement we have seen done through the Hilton Hotel construction using the APEC as a convenient disguise.

Any manipulation by the executive government will only exacerbate existing predicaments like , 11,000 teachers out of payroll, SOEs like Air Niugini's profitability spiralling downhill and broadening and deepening social services deterioration in the country.

Even if say the opposition switches across to join the government, still it will not improve the delapidating well fare of PAPUA NEW GUINEANS! Even if the Prime Minister himself takes on the dire suffering INDIGINOUS MSMES and businesses in the reshuffle, he has in his hands a dead bird..it will take time for finding an egg to hatch and grow a new bird all over again. No political cabinet changes will ever help solve outstanding issues of the referendum of the Autonomous Region of Bougainville.

LEAVE THE INSANITY AND BLINDNESS OF POLITICS OUT AND READ THINGS THE COMMON SENSE WAY!!!

The Nation does not need a reshuffle of cabinet. It needs THE NECESSARY REFORMS TO TRANSFORM PNG FROM THE PRESENT MAN MADE DETRIMENTAL SITUATION TO SOMETHING TOTALY ANEW . WE NEED NEW CULTURE. WE NEED TO REVIEW ALL OUR LAWS TO BE CONDUCIVE TO OUR DEVELOPMENT GOALS.

WE NEED TO REVIEW OUR POLITICAL STRUCTURE AND CULTURE TO SUIT OUR ENTRENCHED MELANESIAN, PNGEAN EXISTENCE. WE NEED TO POSITION OUR NATION TO MITIGATE AND COME OUT ON TOP IN THE 21ST CENTURY SOCIO-ECONOMIC QUEST AMONGST NATIONS.

The macroeconomic and financial situation of the country demands Ministers and MPs alike to save this country from decline. The unprecedented and FLOURISHING level of corruption in this country calls for all Parliamentarians to ROOT OUT THE REAL CAUSE OF CORRUPTION.

I urge all citizens to do what you can to WEED OUT the PERPETRATORS of corruption and that includes Parliamentarians and public servants, Private sector and businesses, Churches and NGOS, Public and Private citizens to converge and stand United to weed out this MENACE!!!

ALL IN ALL, LET ME SAY; " WE NEED THE SURVIVAL OF A NATION IN PNG! NOT THE SURVIVAL OF A GOVERNMENT!
WE DESIRE THE SURVIVAL OF OUR HEALTH AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES. NOT THE SURVIVAL OF POLITICS AND POLITICANS. WE NEED TO SAVE A PEOPLE. NOT SAVE AN AUTHORITY."

Therefore reshuffle or no reshuffle, it makes no difference. The man - made calamities have surpassed the interest and keenness of the populace in government and its politics. Even the National Parliament is starred at with skepticism. The country is in SOS. It's in the ICU.

The nation needs a saviour, not power play of the master manipulators...!
