Basil, Samb re-elected to lead PANGU PATI in the PNC-led coalition Government

THE Parliamentary wing of PNG's oldest party, PANGU PATI today (Monday) unanimously re-elected Hon. Sam Basil as its parliamentary leader, following the National Court declared his election null and void less than a fortnight ago.

The election of his deputy and Goilala MP Hon. William Samb was also nullified.
The decision was made in favor of Pangu Pati president Patrick Pundao who sought the ruling in his submission via his lawyer Justin Isaac.

However, both were re-elected to lead the party.

The court ordered for a re-election facilitated by the registrar of political parties and candidates, Dr. Alphones Gelu.

Complying to the court order, party executives and members convened today at a meeting supervised and facilitated by Dr. Gelu.
